An excellent place to relax and visit the Lubéron. We spent a very pleasant week at the Mas du Lubéron. The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is very well equipped: excellent WIFI connection; good kitchen and bathroom; well working fire place; very nice terrace. The location is perfect for a visit by car to the Lubéron in all directions. The site itself is calm and green, so you can easily stay on the spot to read and relax. It was too cold for us to swim but the swimming pool looks very nice.

Bridgitte and her beautiful property are what makes AirBNB such a wonderful opportunity. My family uses the service all the time and we have done so in many countries— but this is our single favorite stay, ever. First, consider the hospitality: we were quite late to check-in due to a missed train. She treated us kindly and came out in the pouring rain with an umbrella to meet and guide us into the cottage. Then she wisely left us to sleep, rather than put us through the tour immediately. In addition, when my kids found the main pool too cold, she allowed us to use another typically reserved for other guests. When I could not work the stove properly and we had issues with the internet, she and her husband arrived within minutes to assist! She also offered excellent restaurant advice, and was curious and caring without being intrusive. She even offered the services of her daughter to help our kids with swimming! The property is a dream come true. Stunning views of the Luberon, beautiful flowers and fragrant vines everywhere. You can dine al fresco, play pétanque at sunset, swim til your heart’s content— and cool in a well-equipped kitchen that even includes little luxuries like a Le Crueset braiser. The towns of Cereste and Reillane nearby are sweet and both have good restaurants. Plus Scaramouche in Cereste is amazing ice cream! Apt isn’t far and offers a good market. We day tripped to Aix, Arles, Iles de Sorgue, and on and on. Exhausted, we slept well on the beds and did laundry, hanging things on the nearby line. This is the perfect property and so well priced. If I had friends or family to travel with, I would rent 2 or 3 of the cottages on the property and allow us to be together while having our own space. I might bring along my favorite knife to help with cooking, as those there were not wonderful. Also, it would be lovely to have a fan for use in the upstairs bedroom in summer, and maybe window screens as my kids were frightened of the bees and such that came in with opened windows (but this is the country and to be expected). Be sure to ask for a little tour to understand where to take out the garbage and how to work the stove if you’re American- those things are quite different here. Bottom line: we didn’t want to leave. If Brigette would have us, we would have stayed for years!
